Your hiking trip to Black River Gorge begins with a hotel pick-up anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet & be greeted by our certified guide & after boarding to your comfortable vehicle, then set off for your first stop.

Located in the hilly southwest of Mauritius, the Black River Gorge extends over an area of 6,754 hectares of the surface of Mauritius Island! With the help of the guides, you will discover Mauritius’ natural heritage in this unique area which houses one of the rarest forests in the world. It harbors over 300 species of native and endemic flowering plants and 9 species of birds, which are found only in Mauritius.
